Small form factor MCU doubles flash code space

Silicon Laboratories Inc. has doubled the flash code space to 16kB on its latest small form factor 8bit MCU series dubbed the C8051F336.

A pipelined, single-cycle 8051 core delivers up to 25MIPS of CPU bandwidth. High-performance analog features are integrated on-chip, including a highly-linear SAR ADC and programmable IDAC for analog measurement and control. The C8051F336 series is housed in a tiny 4mm x 4mm quad flat no-lead (QFN) package.

The C8051F336 is pin-for-pin compatible with its C8051F330 devices. All of Silicon Laboratories' small form-factor MCUs provide four-corner operation. The CPU is designed to operate at 25MHz over the entire allowed operating temperature and power supply voltage ranges. ADC speed and accuracy are also guaranteed over the entire allowed temperature and voltage supply ranges with the CPU operating at full speed. The onboard precision oscillator is designed and calibrated to two percent for worst-case temperature and supply voltage.
