Avago Technologies has announced three new MMICs designed to address the complex needs of test and measurement equipment applications for wireless networks. The AMMC-6380, -6470 and -6350 microcircuits are well suited for test and measurement applications where highly accurate instrumentation and signal processing support for high-end frequencies are required.
Using a cascade design for high efficiency, Avago's AMMC-6380 is a DC-80GHz traveling wave amplifier optimized for high gain and broad bandwidth applications. Avago's AMMC-6470 is a 40-79GHz power amplifier that runs with a DC quiescent current of 300mA. The AMMC-6350 is a DC-50GHz differential output power amplifier suited for instrumentation applications. It has a gain of 5dB and a quiescent current of 200mA. All MMICs operate off a single +5Vdc and ship with on-chip matching for high performance.
Pricing for Avago's AMMC-6380, 6470 and 6350 begin at $150 to $250 in 100-1,000 volumes. Products are sampling now and will be generally available in Q2 2008.
