SiGe:C LNA steps up GPS systems sensitivity
Keywords:silicon germanium carbon? GPS system sensitivity? low noise amplifier?
The ?PC8233TK is NEC Electronics Corp.'s latest in line of silicon germanium:carbon (SiGe:C) low-noise amplifiers (LNA) targeted at GPS and mobile communications applications. The ?PC8233TK offers a 0.9dB noise figure, helping to improve GPS systems sensitivity, and a 20dB gain, which helps overcome losses associated with external SAW filters. The ?PC8233TK offers a supply voltage of 1.7-3.3V, and a current consumption level of 3.5mA typical. It also features a Power Save function that can be controlled directly by the GPS engine's output logic. Power Save with low Enable Voltage: 1.0V.
The ?PC8233TK is housed in NEC's miniature 1.5mm x 1.1mm x 0.55mm, 6-pin TK package.
