Omron Electronic Components LLC offers the G5T series of slim power PCB relays in a 7mm x 20.4mm x 15mm footprint, making them suitable for high-density applications. Target uses include water heaters, ventilation and zone control, air conditioners, refrigeration, and PLC output controls.

Omron said the G5T relays were designed to deliver up to a 50 percent cost savings to OEMs as compared to other relays with similar features. With a unique footprint, the G5T offers a switching capability of 5A at 250Vac/30Vdc, delivering a minimum of 30,000 operations at rated load. They are also energy-efficient consuming approximately 200mW of nominal power.

The G5T offers a contact resistance of 100m? max with insulation resistance of 1,000M? min (at 500Vdc). The operating temperature range is -40C to 70C (without icing or condensation) in a relative humidity of 5-85 percent.

Other features include a 10kV impulse withstand voltage between coil and contacts, and dielectric strength of 4,000Vac, 50/60Hz for 1min between coil and contacts and 750Vac 50/60Hz for 1min between contacts of the same polarity. Standard coil versions include 5, 12, and 24Vdc. The device is UL, CSA, and VDE approved as well as RoHS compliant. The suggested price for the G5T-1A DC12 relay is $0.55 in quantities of 500.
