Snap-action switches offer extended mechanical life

C&K Components has developed a series of miniature sealed snap-action switches. The single-pole/double-throw LCS series of snap-action switches are offered in a range of operating forces, ratings, actuators and termination styles including quick connect, solder style, PCB through-hole and potted wire leads (standard 12-in. length).

The snap-action mechanism provides positive indication and high reliability with an extended mechanical life of more than 100,000 cycles. Suitable for space-sensitive applications that require long life and high electrical capabilities, the switches are specified for use in applications such as dispensing equipment, thermostat controls, motor controls, consumer electronics, testing equipment and medical devices.

The LCS series switches feature contact ratings up to 6A at 125V_ac and 3A at 250V_ac. The operating force ranges from 60-150g at the actuator button and the operating temperature is -40°C to 105°C.

The switches are fully dust and splash proof, and potted wire leads meet IP67 approval. A variety of levers are also available. The switch housing is made of high temperature resistant PTS thermoplastic (featuring UL-94V-O rating).
