VPT Inc. has added three DC/DC converter modules to its new commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product line. The VPT series of 15W and 30W modules are said to satisfy the U.S. Department of Defense's COTS directive in terms of low cost, high performance and meeting stringent military and avionics industry requirements.

The VPT series product line now offers a full range of power options from 5W to 100W in standard output power configurations. The three new products include the VPT15-2800D dual output, VPT30-2800S single output and VPT30-2800D dual-output modules.

The DC/DC converters are designed for the wide MIL-STD-704A-E input range, and offer a wide temperature range of -55C to 100C with no power derating. The single output configurations are available with voltage ratings of 3.3V, 5V, 12V, 15V and the dual-output configurations offer 5V, 12V and 15V.

The low-output noise devices are housed in 6-sided metal cases for improved EMI, mechanical and environmental performance. The parts offer 100-percent environmental screening including 96hr burn-in, 100-percent electrical testing and shock/vibration testing.

Pricing begins at $167 in OEM quantities.
