Advanced Power Electronics Corp. has unveiled the APU3146 high-performance and high-efficiency dual-channel synchronous buck rectification controller offring up to 400kHz switching frequency.

It has a low dropout regulator, capable of delivering maximum current of 50mA at 6.2V. The device can support two-phase single output or two independent outputs. Typical applications include graphic cards, DDR, HDDs, POL power supplies, multi-output power supplies, dual phase power supplies or telecom product power supplies.

In addition, the APU3146 operates at a wide range of input voltages from 4.5V to 16V, with internal under-voltage protection and over-current protection. It also provides two sets of soft start control pins and short-circuit protection capability and a power good signal when turned on. The device offers protection for over current, over voltage, over temperature with feedback compensation, leading to higher stability and noise sensitivity and can facilitate design and eliminate errors.

The Pb-free version of the APU3146 is available in TSSOP-28 package, with low-cost and high performance PWM IC.
