Windows Embedded solution provider Bsquare Corp. has opened an office in Tokyo, Japan. Bsquare's new office is aimed to provide faster, more efficient support to Japan device manufacturers who continue to adopt Microsoft Windows Embedded OS solutions at rapid rates. Bsquare now supports Asian customers through its offices in Taiwan and Japan.

"Local presence and support from BSQUARE will further accelerate time to market for Japanese manufacturers developing Windows Mobile and Windows Embedded CE devices," said Brian Crowley, president and CEO of BSQUARE. "We expect to see Japan OEMs leverage Bsquare solutions such as our high-performance SDIO Hx software stack, hardware development kits and professional engineering services for consumer electronics, personal navigation and in-home media solutions."

The company also appointed former senior sales executive Kiyonori Takahashi as Bsquare K.K.'s new country manager. Takahashi spent six years in sales roles at Microsoft's Japanese subsidiary, Microsoft K.K. During his tenure with Microsoft K.K., he doubled Microsoft's value-added provider sales revenue working with OEMs in markets such as consumer electronics.
