Leadis unrolls QVGA AMOLED LCD driver

Leadis Technology Inc. has announced sample availability of the LDS532, a QVGA 16M color AMOLED LCD driver IC. The device has full memory and incorporates new features such as Automatic Brightness Control (ABC), Ambient Light Sensor (ALS), Automatic Current Limitation (ACL), Power Detector and RGB Separate Gamma.

The LDS532 16M color OLED LCD driver IC is said to be the first AMOLED driver to fully support Nokia's Gen 3 display driver specification. The new features of the LDS532 make this device suitable for low-power applications such as those required by DMB, moving pictures and wireless internet multimedia applications.
