Keywords:Allegro MicroSystems? Hall effect switch? push pull output?

From Allegro MicroSystems Inc. comes an ultrasensitive, Hall-effect switch with latched digital outputs and either unipolar or omnipolar actuation. The A1171 features operation at low supply currents and voltages, making it suitable for battery-operated consumer and industrial electronics. Key features include lower minimum Vcc, a small, low-profile package, and push-pull complementary outputs.

The low operating supply voltage of 1.65V to 3.5V, and clocking algorithm assist in reducing the average operating power consumption. Power requirements are less than 15 ?W with a 2.75V supply.

Allegro's A1171 is currently available in the EW (2mm x 1.5mm x 0.4mm DFN) package. It sells for $0.38 in quantities of 1,000. Typical lead-time to market is 10-12 weeks.
