Tyco adds DisplayPort connectors, cable assemblies to portfolio

Tyco Electronics has come up with a family of cable assemblies and receptacles that are designed to meet the VESA DisplayPort digital A/V interconnect specification for both high- and low-bit rate cables. These products enable high-definition media content on computers and flat panels.

The cable assemblies are available in standard two-meter lengths (base part number 2013683), as well as 10- and 15m lengths for longer applications. Custom lengths are available. The receptacles (base part number 2013655) for DisplayPort applications are available in a surface-mount (SMT) design.

Tyco also offers direct drive monitor cable assemblies for direct interconnect of DisplayPort-equipped computer monitors.
