Tampa Microwave has added three models to its satellite simulator product family. The new products include a quad band SatSim, a single Ku-Band SatSim and a single Ka-Band SatSim, which are targeted at testing and training applications. The satellite simulator products eliminate the need for live "paid" satellite time, saving time and expense for system users and product developers, said Tampa Microwave.

The quad band SatSim model LTT-03-W-198-ANT incorporates all features of the standard products such as simultaneous band operation (C, X, Ku and Ka band), adjustable attenuation, and wired remote control for band selection. In addition, this SatSim allows the embedded internal antennas to be bypassed for use of external customer-provided antennas.

The MSS-2300-BEA-S is a single Ku-band simulator with selectable beacons that covers an input frequency of 14-14.5GHz and output frequency of 11.7-12.2GHz. The third new offering, the MSS-9800-BEA-S, is a single Ka-band SatSim with selectable beacons that covers the commercial Ka band input frequency of 29.5-30GHz and output frequency of 19.7-12.2GHz.
