IAR Workbench supports System Semi's motion control kit

IAR Embedded Workbench

IAR Systems has released its Embedded Workbench, which has been selected by System Semiconductor for its M3000 developer's kit for chip level motion control.

The kit contains all the tools needed to begin developing applications using System Semi's M3000 motion controller, which is a highly integrated, mixed-signal SoC. The device combines all the major building blocks necessary to control and position multiphase stepper motors, while also working as a high-speed general-purpose MCU incorporating extensive communication, analogue and system functions.

The M3000 development board included in the kit interfaces with IAR Embedded Workbench to make it simple for developers to develop applications and add firmware to the M3000 device. The development board features pre-installed I/O and communications hardware, and also includes an H-Bridge step motor driver delivering 0 to 4A peak output.

IAR Embedded Workbench provides an intuitive user interface for writing code and debugging M3000 applications. The workbench also features a C/C++ compiler and C-SPY debugger, assembler, and project manager. The M3000 includes a complimentary 30-day fully functional evaluation version of IAR Embedded Workbench that requires only a simple registration process to obtain a license key.
