Bloombase Technologies has announced today the integration of Hifn's Express DS 250 data security acceleration card into Bloombase's Spitfire family of enterprise information security products. The solution delivers the industry's strongest data encryption functions available to address the data security requirements facing enterprise customers.

The security requirements of availability, loss prevention and authorized accessibility of the data are compounded by the dramatic increase in both the quantity and value of data customers have to manage. Bloombase's Spitfire products target the growing threats of data tampering and leakage, and combined with Hifn's DS 250 cards accelerate the encryption and compression of data at-rest and in-flight enabling real-time data security solutions.

"Preserving data privacy and integrity are top concerns for enterprises running mission-critical business applications. Bloombase's Spitfire Security Server customers demand real-time encryption and decryption of their database data and information exchange with zero performance impact to their existing computing infrastructure," said Harry Xiang, VP of product marketing, Bloombase Technologies. "Combining Bloombase's platform, including transparent data security applicable for storage, database, e-mail and SOA data, with Hifn's standard-based and purpose-built cryptographic accelerators' performance, gives customers the highest level of security and cost effectiveness without sacrificing performance."
