MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd has announced four new power management products, for which samples are now available. These products include an LDO regulator, an analog switch IC for USB 2.0, and a 30V and 40V Trench MOSFET for LCD TV and mobile phone applications.

The company said its initial power management products allow electronics manufacturers to achieve high efficiency and low standby power consumption.

"We announced last November our entry to the power management market and have moved quickly to develop and market products as part of an overall strategy to leverage our leading analog and mixed-signal technology platform to expand our market opportunity and meet more of our customers' needs," Sang Park, chairman and CEO of MagnaChip Semiconductor. "We are finding that our system-level understanding of applications and strong customer relationships in Asia allow us to rapidly develop and customize products, as demonstrated by the speed with which we have developed these new products. We believe our entry to the market is timely, due to increasing market requirements for 'green,' energy-efficient products and applications."

MagnaChip has built direct and indirect sales networks for its new power solutions to facilitate rapid product distribution. It has also partnered with specialized packaging technology providers to deliver optimized solutions. These new products will be manufactured on MagnaChip's 8-inch manufacturing lines.
