Smart phone processor supports Windows Mobile apps

Vimicro Corp. has introduced the Vinno-III (VC0818) and an open mobile platform, Vinno-III-Win, based on Microsoft Windows Mobile OS.

Based on ARM926EJ, the Vinno-III features built-in multimedia features such as hardware MPEG4/H.263 codec, JPEG codec, multi-format audio decoder, stereo A/D converter and D/A converter, SD/MMC and SDIO interface, NAND flash interface, high speed USB, 3MP sensor interface, and QVGA color screen.

Vinno-III-Win offers QVGA touchscreen, 3Mpixel camera, MPEG-4/H.263 video, WMA and MP3 playback and recording, Bluetooth and FM radio. Vinno-III-Win can be adopted to design both 2.5G and 3G smart phones and beyond.
