Keywords:power transistors? LDMOS? China market?

A portfolio of RF power transistors based on laterally diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) technology has been launched by TriQuint Semiconductor Inc. The portfolio will be made available in China through TriQuint's Shenzhen and Shanghai offices as well as Avnet Asia Pacific.

TriQuint's RF power transistor line includes products marketed previously by Peak Devices Inc. that were acquired by the company in August 2007. The LDMOS power transistor line complements its extensive selection of transistors, amplifiers, switch and filter devices for wireless handsets and networked RF communications applications already marketed throughout China.

The devices added to the TriQuint portfolio cover frequencies from 865MHz to 2.7GHz with RF output power from 30W up to 180W. The product portfolio supports the needs of wireless telecommunications base stations and multichannel multipoint distribution service, offering a local source for manufacturers supporting China's continued telecommunications expansion.

TriQuint is one of the exhibitors at the 13th IIC-China 2008.
