C&K Components has developed new versions of sealed through-hole subminiature tact switches with a variety of configurations. The KSA family, consisting of the KSA, KSL, KSB, KSI, KSFI, KSJ and KSD switches, is available in a variety of configurations including vertical and right-angle mounting, top or side actuated, and with a soft or hard actuator.

The KSA tact switches can be configured for harsh environment applications and adapted for different PCB thicknesses. Targeted at automotive, consumer electronics, industrial and telecom networking applications, the RoHS-compliant tact switches offer a life expectancy of up to 1 million operations. The switches feature an actuation force from 1.5N to 5N including the detect version with silver and gold coatings. The KSA switches meet ISO9001/14001 and TS16949 standards.

Typical pricing ranges from 16 cents to 50 cents in quantities of 10,000. Lead time is from four to ten weeks.
