ARC, Toshiba extend partnership to multicore tech

As part of the agreement, Toshiba has extended their license for the ARChitect Processor Configurator, which offers a set of design tools and resources to produce optimized processor designs.

"This new agreement represents the next phase of the Toshiba and ARC relationship and underscores the importance that configurability plays in the development of Toshiba's SoC for audio and video applications," said Takashi Yoshimori, technology executive for SoC design of Toshiba's semiconductor company.

ARC VP of marketing Bill Jackson said, "Using configurable multicore technologies, Toshiba and ARC together are fueling the advancement of next-generation multimedia solutions. The deepening partnership with Toshiba is a testament to the effectiveness of our joint efforts, and ARC looks forward to extending the companies' leadership in consumer electronics."
