LitePoint Corp. has opened a support office in Tirat Hacarmel, Israel. Local field-application engineers (FAEs) in Israel add global support strength to LitePoint's FAEs now located in Sunnyvale (California), Shanghai (China), Taipei (Taiwan), and near Copenhagen (Denmark). In addition, the new office is in the technology corridor that stretches from Tel Aviv to Haifa, and conveniently close to two major Intel Corp. R&D centers.

"It's no secret that a lot of advanced IC development is done in Israel," said Guy Shaviv, LitePoint's business development manager in Israel. "Our local presence played a big part in our developing a turnkey manufacturing program that runs on our IQmax system and supports Intel's Baxter Peak WiMAX chipset. In fact, we've received a certificate of validation from Intel the first such validation to a test-system vendor for a test solution specific to that chipset," he added.
