NXP has Vietnam on its mind

Vietnam Business Finance News reports that NXP Semiconductors is eyeing Vietnam's mobile phone market. NXP's plan for Vietnam is said to include introducing mobile phones with prices ranging from $25 to $30.

According to Vietnam Business Finance News, Jack Van Mook, NXP Semiconductors' general director for SouthEast Asia, revealed that the company has joined with partners in Vietnam to handle the supply and distribution of its product to the Vietnamese market.

It was reported that NXP Semiconductor will provide PNX4901 and PNX4904 chips that combine all features of a mobile phone into one. The company will also advise its partners on both hardware and software development, in order to bring low-cost mobile phones to the market.
