Vectron International recently launched the EX-620, which it touts as the industry's smallest high-stability oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO). It measures 13.21mm x 13.21mm and has available frequencies ranging from 10MHz to 30MHz.

The new oscillator offers a ruggedized hybrid thick-film construction in a low profile hermetically sealed 4-pin HALF DIP package that can withstand severe environmental conditions. This evacuated miniature crystal oscillator provides advanced stability performance and fast warm-up with low-power consumption for military, test and measurement, harsh environment and telecommunications applications.

Key features include temperature stability to 75 x 10-9 over the temperature range from -20C to +70C, low-power consumption of 0.35W at 25C, 0.7W at -40C and a fast warm-up of 2min at 25C. The device is available in through-hole and surface-mount packages.

Vectron showcased the EX-620 at IEEE MTT-S International Microwave Symposium in Atlanta, Georgia.
