Keywords:DC/DC converters? POL converters? point-of-load converters?

FDK Corp. has added eight DC/DC converters to its Senpai series of non-isolated point-of-load (POL) converters.

Operating from a 6V to 14Vdc input bus with a tightly regulated programmable output voltage of 0.75V to 5.5Vdc, the FPLS12T series converters incorporate an output voltage tracking function that enables various sequenced power-up and power-down scenarios when using multiple converters.

The FPMS12T converters deliver up to 55W of output power at a power density of up to 600W/inch3, and the FPLS12T converters deliver up to 165W at a power density of up to 560W/inch3. With little or no derating up to 85C, the converters provide high thermal performance.

The FPMS12T converters are offered in 6A, 8A, and 10A output current models, in a 25.4mm x 12mm x 4.95mm SIP package. The FPLS12T converters are offered in 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, and 30A output current models, in a 50.8mm x 13.6mm x 7mm SIP package.

In quantities of 1,000 pieces, the FPMS12T converters are priced at $7, $8, and $10 for the 6A, 8A, and 10A models, respectively, and the FPLS12T converters are priced at $11, $14, $16, $18 and $20 for the 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, and 30A models, respectively. Samples are available now.
