Solomon Systech boosts single-chip TFT-LCD driver offerings

Solomon Systech is offering a new series of single-chip TFT-LCD drivers — SSD2118B, SSD2119, SSD2123, SSD2125 and the SSD2127— for portable device applications. According to the company, the series is the only dedicated TFT driver line supporting A/V display sizes ranging from 3.5-inch to 7-inch. The new series also supports Wide View Angle (WVA) and Dynamic Backlight Control (DBC) technologies, which are associated with various A/V portable applications, including digital cameras, game consoles and portable navigation devices. Meanwhile, dual MCU/RGB interfaces supported by SSD2119 make it suitable for MP3/MP4 players, IP phones and digital photo frame applications.
