Crimp terminal provides high current capacity

Molex Inc. has introduced the next-generation KK terminal to meet demand for increased current-carrying capability. The MarKK terminal delivers an advanced design for a variety of industries.

The MarKK crimp terminal features a high-conductivity alloy to offer up to 13.5A per line based on a two-circuit system. It can be applied to applications in large and small computers, home appliances, consumer electronics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning and diagnostic equipment.

"The terminal utilizes a spring-box design for enhanced reliability across an extended temperature range. Its head- and tail-carried design eliminates the need for customers to monitor cut-off dimensions in application tooling, while four independent points of contact help ensure a highly reliable interface," Molex said. Terminals are available in both preplate and postplate tin versions, as well as postplate select gold.
