MTNet, the CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) accredited conformance test lab established within China's Ministry of Information Industries, has standardized on the Aeroflex 6402 AIME CDMA test platform for 1xEV-DO Rev A and A-GPS testing. MTNet selected Aeroflex following a recent public tender to upgrade its CDMA test capability to include 1xEV-DO Rev A protocol testing as well as A-GPS protocol and minimum performance testing.

"Our reputation as the most influential CDMA test lab in China is extremely important to us and our choice of test equipment is crucial to maintaining it," said Wei Ran, director of MTNet. "Aeroflex's 6402 CDMA test platform is considered the market leader and our decision to select it to expand our CDMA test capability to include 1xEVDO and A-GPS test will reinforce our ability to offer the highest and most comprehensive CDMA test services."

According to Aeroflex, the 6402 AIME has been deployed by nearly all of the major mobile handset manufacturers and in most conformance test labs worldwide. The 6402 AMIE has also been specified by several major network operators for ensuring compliance with their network acceptance test plans.

"MTNet is the lead CDMA lab in China and we are extremely pleased that it has chosen the Aeroflex 6402 to expand its CDMA test coverage to include 1xEV-DO and A-GPS testing," said Stephen Hire, director, marketing for Aeroflex Asia. "As an existing customer of Aeroflex, we are also looking forward to continuing our long association with both MTNet and our mutual customers in China."
