Intended for engineers looking for ways to improve performance while reducing the size of their dual-band Wi-Fi and UWB designs, NEC Corp. has developed an SPDT GaAs monolithic microwave IC switch that delivers low insertion loss with high isolation from 2.4GHz to 6.0GHz frequency ranges.

Designated UPG2185T6R, this SPDT switch is housed in a miniature 1.0mm x 1.0mm x 0.37mm 6-pin package. Typical specifications include an operating frequency from 2.4GHz to 6.0GHz; control voltage of +3.0/0V; insertion loss of 0.40dB at 2.5GHz and 0.50dB at 6.0GHz; and isolation of 26dB at 2.5GHz and 25dB at 6.0GHz.
