FDK Corp. has expanded its Senpai Series of non-isolated point of load (POL) converters with eight products in standard packages.

These converters operate from a 2.4V to 5.5Vdc input bus and provide a tightly regulated programmable output voltage in the range of 0.75V to 3.63Vdc. The FPMR05T converters deliver up to 10A of output current, and the FPLR05T converters deliver up to 30A. Little or no derating is needed up to 85C.

The FPMR05T converters are available in 6A, 8A and 10A output current models, in a 0.90x0.40x0.195 inch (22.9mm x 10.2mm x 4.95mm) industry-standard SIP package. The FPLR05T converters are offered in 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A and 30A output current models, in a 2-inch x0.535-inch x 0.315-inch (50.8x13.6x8.0mm) industry-standard SIP package.

All models feature remote ON/OFF, overcurrent and overtemperature protection, and output voltage adjust, and are compatible with standard trim equations.

All Senpai Series products are RoHS compliant. They are manufactured using FDK's state-of-the-art in-house manufacturing processes and systems in Japan.

In quantities of 1,000, the FPMR05T converters cost $6, $7.50, and $9 for the 6A, 8A and 10A models, respectively, and the FPLR05T converters are $10, $12.50, $15, $17 and $19 for the 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, and 30A models, respectively. Samples are available now.
