Connect One has added iChip CO2144 to its iChipSEC family of machine-to-machine (M2M) IP controllers.

The CO2144 offers complete IP connectivity and security in a small form factor, 10mm x 10mm LFBGA 144-ball package that supports multiple power-save modes and WLAN and all cellular standards.

Applications include mobile devices in automotive, remote monitoring and medical areas. Working as a coprocessor, the target processor communicates via the AT+i Protocol, creating a natural firewall as well as enabling fast and easy implementation of Internet networking and security protocols. Typical prototypes take only one man month of development time.

Pricing is $7 for large volume orders. Devices are available now.
