Aeroflex has launched the new Auto-Test II Motorola Test and Alignment support for the Motorola XTS-5000 radios. This software enables users of the 3900 Series to easily test and align radios with minimum intervention. It is available for all 3900 Series products widely used in the field such as 3901, 3902 and the current 3920 Series.

"The 3900 with Auto-Test II is an innovation in radio test technology. Today's users of the 3900 Series from Aeroflex can minimize the use of computers as integral part of the alignment and test of Motorola radios," said Rob Barden, director of product marketing, Aeroflex. "Motorola XTS-5000 radio operators can test their radios by simply pushing a button."

The 3900 is connected directly to the radio via a USB or RS-232 connection and controls the radio without the aid of a separate computer. This is based on a closed loop system. Since it is not using an external computer, this application is faster than the common automated test and alignment software. At the same time, the 3900's inherent accuracies show that the radios are aligned to a much higher standard than the previous.
