Uniband Electronic Corp. (UBEC) has announced the availability of the U-NET02 development kit, which adopts the UZ2400 IEEE802.15.4 compliant RFIC and NEC MCUs for 2.4GHz wireless network applications.

U-NET is a networking platform using the company's networking technology which supports the tree, the star and the point-to-point network topologies. The U-NET02 development kit, a result of a cooperative effort between UBEC and Beijing Elelan Electronic Co., provides users the needed hardware, firmware and software.

The kit includes RF module (Dot-Force), main board, universal AC/DC adapter, USB type coordinator, NEC BADGE2007 and U-NET02 CD-ROM. Four application sample codes are included in this offering: wireless GPIO control, wireless RS-232/COM port communication, wireless volume control and wireless data acquisition, which can help reduce user's development time.

U-NET02 is suitable for RS-485 cable replacement, PC peripherals, home automation, wireless sensor network, building automation, low-cost mid-data-rate applications and industrial automation
