Analog and mixed-signal IP provider Cosmic Circuits has announced the validation of silicon IP cores for the 90nm Common Platform technology employed by IBM, Chartered Semiconductor and Samsung. Cosmic's validated IP cores include high-performance power regulation and analog-to-digital conversion.

Commented Krishnan Ramabadran, vice president of marketing for Cosmic Circuits: "Power-regulators and general purpose A/D converters are typically sought after by chip designers in the portable consumer and communication space. These IP cores have been designed for enhancing performance and battery-life, bringing both differentiation and quality to our offerings."

The IP cores have been designed to Common Platform technology ground rules and proven in silicon at IBM. Using validated IP reduces development risk as well as offering potential time-to-market advantages.
