Mitsubishi taps Pacnet to link Japan, China offices

Pacnet, a pan-Asian network services provider has delivered its flagship Internet Protocol-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) solution to Mitsubishi Electric Corp. Through Pacnet's IP-VPN solution, Mitsubishi Electric's global headquarters in Japan now has secure and seamless network connectivity with its facility in China.

"This partnership with Mitsubishi Electric demonstrates our continued commitment and ability to deliver flexible, cost-effective solutions to our enterprise customers, and is further validation of our capability to provide network connectivity into China, from anywhere in the world," said Bill Barney, CEO of Pacnet.

"As Mitsubishi Electric continues to grow in the region, we are confident of supporting its growth with our extensive suite of advanced communications solutions, which are backed by EAC-C2C, the region's most extensive cable network."

Pacnet's IP-VPN service extends to all key markets in Asia Pacific, the United States and Europe. The service is available at speeds from 64Kbit/s to 1Gbit/s, and is backed not only by Pacnet's regional IP backbone which consists of over 240Gbit/s of intra-Asia and trans-Pacific capacity, as well as a 24/7 multilingual service support center.
