Keywords:chip ferrite bead? 01005 package? noise compression device?

Murata Electronics North America has introduced the BLM02 series of ferrite beads, touted as the industry's smallest, measuring 0.4mm x 0.2mm x 0.2mm. The 01005-sized noise compression devices are suitable for EMI filter applications and DC power lines, which are found in numerous electronics including RF modules, laptop computers, portable music devices and car navigation systems.

In addition to its small size, the BLM02 series, part of Murata's EMIFIL (electromagnetic interference filter) family of chip ferrite beads, provides a wide attenuation frequency range of approximately 30MHz to several hundred MHZ, and an impedance range of 10 to 120 with rated currents between 200mA and 500mA. The components also offer DC resistance below 0.8 and operate between 55C to +125C. The ferrite beads are RoHS compliant.

Sample pricing is 6 cents. Lead time is approximately six to eight weeks.
