Connectors gear up for in-flight entertainment

ITT Interconnect Solutions has developed a custom ARINC 600 connector designed specifically for in-flight entertainment systems used in commercial aircraft. The ARINC 600 connector meets stringent technical specifications in a cost-efficient design, claims ITT Interconnect Solutions.

The ARINC 600 connector features ITT Interconnect Solutions' Quadrax contacts for GbE channels, along with a custom size two shell designed to reduce EMI/RFI emissions. The connector utilizes custom insert arrangements and pre-loaded inserts with extended tail contacts to eliminate unused positions and for faster PCB mounting, respectively. The ARINC 600 connector's polarizing keys were pre-loaded and fixed PEM nuts were implemented to ensure no loose hardware upon installation.
