Agilent Technologies and The MathWorks have launched Matlab along with the purchase of Agilent's EXA, MXA or PSA signal analyzers. Aside from selling Matlab with its analyzers, Agilent gives installation and tech support for Matlab. Buyers can also get support for both products through Matlab.

Agilent's signal analyzers are offered with three Matlab configurations:

? Basic Signal Analysis PackageThis includes the Matlab software environment and the Instrument Control Toolbox. It is widely used for basic signal analysis and visualization.

? Standard Signal Analysis PackageThis consists of the Basic Signal Analysis Package and the Communications Toolbox and Signal Processing Toolbox. It is used to filter or demodulate signals, automate measurements, analyze or visualize data or build test systems.

? Advanced Signal Analysis PackageThis has the Standard Signal Analysis Package plus the Filter Design Toolbox and RF Toolbox. It gives filter design methods such as FIR, IIR, adaptive, and multirate. This also provides GUIs, plots and command-line functions for designing, analyzing and visualizing networks of RF components.

In addition to these packages, Agilent offers free sample applications that show how to use its signal analyzers with Matlab.
