AdvancedMC caters to wireless, SRIO interfaces

CommAgility Ltd has released the AMC-V5F, a single width, mid-sized Advanced Mezzanine Card (AdvancedMC) for AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA systems. The AMC-V5F features a Xilinx Virtex-5 SX95T FPGA, optical CPRI/OBSAI antenna interfaces and Serial RapidIO (SRIO) interfaces. The module targets wireless baseband applications and other applications that need optical or SRIO interfaces.

The AMC-V5F gives multiple 10Gbps SRIO and Gigabit Ethernet connections and Tundra Tsi578 SRIO switch. The module has advanced clock recovery and synchronization options like CPRI RE/REC and OBSAI RP3-01, and the board offers a 1PPS GPS clock sync facility. These features are expected to cover requirements for wireless base stations such as WiMAX base stations and test equipment.
