Compact ARM9 MCUs integrate high speed USB OTG
The NXP LPC3130 can be integrated to a high speed USB 2.0 OTG, along with PHY, PLL, 180MHz ARM926EJ, 96Kbyte SRAM, NAND flash controller, flexible external bus interface, four-channel 10bit A/D and a myriad of serial and parallel interfaces in a compact chip for consumer, industrial, medical and communication markets. The LPC3130 carries a flexible clock generation unit that gives dynamic clock gating and scaling making the system customized for low power.
Developed in 90nm process, the LPC3130 has 180MHz ARM926EJ core partnered with 16Kbyte data cache and 16Kbyte instruction cache. It can boot from NAND flash, SPI flash, secure digital high capacity (SDHC)/MMC cards, UART and USB. The improved NAND flash controller fits error correction.
The LPC3130 has an 8/16bit SRAM and SDRAM external bus interface, as well as a memory card interface, that support SDHC, MMC/SDIO, and consumer electronics ATA peripherals. Serial interfaces include SPI/SSI, 2x I2C, 2x I2S, UART and PWM interfaces. Along with the feature set is a four-channel 10-bit A/D, general purpose timers, WDT and GPIO. For applications that need visual interaction, the LPC3130 has a 4/8/16bit 6800/8080 compatible LCD interface. Meanwhile, the LPC3131 has a total of 192Kbyte of SRAM.
