Adlink Technology Inc. has released the latest addition to its Computer-on-Module (COM) family, the Express-NR that supports the Intel Core2 Duo, Core Duo and Celeron M processors.
Based on the Mobile Intel 945GME Express Chipset, the COM Express Type 2 module has very low power consumption and is specially designed to facilitate speedy development of semi-custom designs. Adlink's Express-NR is suitable for entry level industrial applications such as medical diagnostic equipment, industrial automation, gaming, point-of-sales, mobile computing and transportation markets.
The Express-NR provides complete graphics performance with CRT, single/dual channel 24bit LVDS and TV-out (SDTV and HDTV). It supports up to 4Gbyte of DDR2 667MHz memory with dual SO-DIMM sockets and provides extensive expansion capabilities with one PCIe x16 bus and five PCIe x1 or one PCIe x4 bus. A single onboard 10/100/1,000 GbE port, one Serial ATA port, one single Parallel IDE channel and up to eight USB 2.0 ports round out the Express-NR's multi-I/O features.
The Adlink COM product family also includes the server class Express-DW400 module, and the Express-MC800 which supports excellent graphic performance.
For "light" computing application needs, Adlink will release its latest COM Express modules based on the Intel Atom processor for ultra-mobile applications in Q4 08. This product line will include the Express-MLC which utilizes the extremely low power consumption Intel Atom processor, thus enabling the new ultra mobile market; and the Express-AT which offers complete graphics performance. These additions will complete Adlink's COM family and fulfill all the application requirements of its customers.
