SiliconSystems Inc. has introduced its SiliconDrive II 1.8-inch parallel ATA solid-state drives (SSDs) that use the company's advanced storage technology, along with enhanced performance and capacities in a smaller form factor.

The SSDs are designed for space-constrained OEM designs, boast read/write speeds up to 34MBps and are being launched in capacities up to 32Gbyte.

The SSDs have SiliconSystems' patented PowerArmor, SiSMART and SiSecure integrated advanced storage technologies that respond to critical OEM design considerations, including the elimination of drive corruption caused by power anomalies, predicting SiliconDrive shelf life and the protection of application data and software IP.
