Maxim Integrated Products introduces its /PR family of ruggedized, plastic-encapsulated devices for high-reliability military and aerospace applications. Designed and fabricated for applications that demand high-temperature performance and enhanced reliability, /PR devices are 100 percent burned-in for 120 hours at +135C and tri-temp tested at military temperatures. Additionally, for military and aerospace applications, these /PR products have the traditional Sn/Pb finish. These devices thus provide cost-effective solutions for electrically stressful environments, such as mobile military and aerospace systems, claims the company.

Maxim's /PR portfolio includes the following devices:

  • DG408/DG409 8-channel/dual 4-channel, CMOS analog multiplexers

  • DG412/DG413 Quad, SPST analog switches

  • DG441/DG442 Quad, SPST analog switches

  • MAX222/MAX232 5V-powered, multichannel RS-232 drivers/receivers

  • MAX253 Transformer driver for isolated RS-485 interface

  • MAX333A Precision, quad, SPDT, CMOS analog switch

  • MAX394 Low-voltage, quad, SPDT, CMOS analog switch

  • MAX418 1.2microamps (max), quad, single-supply op amp

  • MAX410 Single, 28MHz, low-noise, low-voltage, precision op amp

  • MAX481/83/89/91 Low-power, slew-rate-limited, RS-485/RS-422 transceivers

  • MAX630 CMOS, micropower, step-up switching regulator

  • MAX667 5V, programmable, low-dropout voltage regulator

  • MAX691 Microprocessor supervisory circuit

  • MAX883 5V or adj, low-dropout, low-IQ, 200mA linear regulator

  • MAX921-MAX924 Ultralow-power, single-/dual-supply comparators with 1 percent precision voltage reference

  • MAX942 High-speed, low-power, 3V/5V, rail-to-rail, single-supply comparator

  • MAX8211/MAX8212 Microprocessor voltage monitors with programmable voltage detection
