The MAX1452/MAX1455 are high-precision, low-cost signal conditioners that can be operated in digital mode for system-level manufacturing and in analog mode for normal operation. In application circuits, depending on the driving capability of the power supply utilized to supply the VDD pin, there is the possibility of (a) the device starting up in digital mode, when intended to start in analog mode, (b) excessive output noise, and (c) not having enough voltage on VDDF for reliable EEPROM operations.

This application note suggests adding a single component to the application circuit to address these concerns, improving both manufacturing yield and product reliability.
