Vishay Intertechnology Inc. has released a new IHLP low-profile, high-current inductor in the 2020 case size, offering an ultralow 3mm profile with a wide inductance range and low DCR.

With a frequency range up to 1MHz, the IHLP-2020CZ-11 inductor serves as a high-performing, space- and power-saving solution for voltage regulator module and DC/DC applications in end products including next-generation mobile devices; notebooks, desktop computers, servers, graphic cards, portable gaming devices, personal navigation systems, personal multimedia devices, and automotive systems; low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load converters; distributed power systems; and FPGAs.

The IHLP-2020CZ-11 offers an inductance range from 0.10?H to 22?H, a saturation current range from 1.7A up to 25A, typical DCR from 2.6m? to 250.0m?, and maximum DCR from 2.9m? to 260.0m?.

In addition, the inductor handles high transient current spikes without hard saturation. The device is packaged in an RoHS-compliant, 100 percent Pb-free shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultralow levels. The IHLP-2020CZ-11 is specified for an operating temperature range of 55C to +125C, with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock, and vibration. The IHLP series is qualified to AEC-Q200 standards.

Samples and production quantities of the new inductor are available now, with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks for large orders.
