Teledyne Coax Switches has introduced the CAS-37, the latest in its line of high-performance broadband coaxial switches.

Operating from DC to 25GHz, the CAS-37 is a 3-state switch with a low loss through path, a very stable attenuated path and an open path with one RF port grounded via a 50 termination.

The through path has an insertion loss of >0.5dB and low VSWR of 1.50:1 at 25GHz. The attenuated path has a 20dB fixed attenuator which is exceptionally stable over the full operating frequency range with a maximum variance of -0.65dB to +1.95dB at 25GHz. Other attenuation values are available on request. Open path isolation is 85dB at 0.5GHz and 38dB at 25GHz.

The three states are switched internally with no internal cables keeping losses to a minimum. External RF connections are SMA Female connectors and Control connections are solder posts or a 9-pin male D-Sub connector as an option. Operating voltages are 12VDC as standard with 15 and 28VDC available as options.

Life and environmental capabilities include 1 million operations with operate and release times at 20ms, 0 to +55C operating temperature range, 5G rms Vibration and 500G Shock.
