Next-gen dynamic power integrity tool rolls

Apache Design Solutions has announced RedHawk-NX, the next-generation of the company's dynamic power integrity tool that is said to handle designs of 500 million gates.

According to Apache, RedHawk-NX includes hierarchical dynamic power analysis, proprietary mesh pattern recognition and reuse, and scalable multicore support, enabling designers to analyze complex designs with sign-off accuracy.

Apache said RedHawk-NX builds on previous generations of RedHawk, including RedHawk-SD (introduced in 2002) and RedHawk-EV (introduced in 2005). Each generation of products has offered higher capacity and performance to address the latest design complexity in CPU, GPU, NPU and devices with large memory contents, Apache said.

RedHawk-NX will be available sometime in the first quarter as a no-cost upgrade to all active RedHawk-EV customers, Apache said.
