Tibbo Technology has released the EM1000, its third-generation Ethernet module built exclusively for running applications written in Tibbo BASIC.

With its compact dimensions, the EM1000 may be easily embedded into any project. It's 50 MIPS purpose-built CPU allows it to be used as the main processor of a new product. It has 49 general-purpose I/O lines which can be connected to sensors and actuators.

The EM1000 can be used to rapidly design and create new products in the fields of security, time and attendance and industrial automation. In addition, the module provides a programmer with all of the facilities needed to easily create a very modern and sophisticated product, such as an internal Web server, 10/100BaseT Ethernet, real-time clock with backup power and more.

One of the main advantages of building a product around the EM1000 is that all development is done in an advanced Tibbo BASIC IDE. No ICE machine is neededdebugging is done right on the device itself, via the network. The IDE is free to use, and the language is familiar to anyone who has programmed in BASIC in the past, and is easy to learn.
