Tactile switch complies with RoHS

The RoHS-compliant CS1205 Series tactile switch offered by CIT Relay & Switch is a gull wing surface mount, momentary switch. The 2.5mm low profile offered by the CS1205 Series is compact and space-saving, making it ideal when board space is at a premium. The dimensions are 2.5mm x 8.0mm x 3.7mm. Actuation force on the CS1205 is 180 ± 50gF with actuator travel of 0.30 ± 0.1mm.

Electrical rating is 50A at 50Vdc. Electrical life is 100,000 cycles with contact resistance of less than 50mW. Dielectric strength is 250Vrms, and insulation resistance is greater than 100MW. Operating temperature and storage temperature are -40°C to 85°C.

Actuator and housing are 4/6 Nylon. The cover is stainless steel. Contacts are silver-plated stainless steel with silver-plated brass terminals.

Typical applications for the CS1205 Series include test and measurement equipment, telecommunications, computer and peripherals, consumer products, hand-held devices, medical, diagnostic equipment and industrial applications.
