Dubbed Coolteq-b, the device is designed to improve transmitted signal quality whilst maintaining Nujira's trademark envelop-tracking power efficiency.
In a typical, 4-carrier W-CDMA base station system, the adjacent channel leakage power ratio is said to exceed 55dB with Coolteq-h and 60dB in fixed drain mode "traditional amplifiers."
While Coolteq-h modulators will work with any commercially available DPD technology, the latest version is specifically targeted at improving the power efficiency and linearity of cellular base station transmitter designs.
The company said the version of the Coolteq PA module targeted at handsets achieved a design win and purchase agreement with what it called a tier 1 terminal maker.
Nujira uses a patented High Accuracy Tracking technology to improve the efficiency of the power amplifier by effectively tracking the RF signal power level requirements dynamically.
Japanese conglomerate Sumitomo was the first to announce a product based on Nujira's Coolteq modules, a Remote Radio Head for use with LTE and W-CDMA cellular networks.
