Overvoltage protectors pack USB charger detection

The devices employ an integrated MOSFET to protect low-voltage systems against voltage faults up to 28V, thus eliminating the need for an external nFET. Additionally, the MAX14529E/MAX14530E provide high-current USB charger detection and robust, ±15kV ESD protection (Human Body Model)—all in a 3mm x 3mm package. Offering the industry's smallest solution footprint, these OVPs are suitable for cellphones, media players, PDAs and other space-constrained applications.
