Huawei deploys 2G/3G networks in Indonesia

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd announced that it has completed the first phase of deploying PT Telkomsel Tbk's converged 2G/3G network as required in a three-year contract signed March 2009. Upon completion of the contract Telkomsel will be able to seamlessly provide end-users with multi-mode mobile telecommunication services using one unified network.

Sarwoto Atmosutarno, president director of Telkomsel said that they impressed by Huawei's quick response and the simplified network solution, and that "the success of Phase One project has proved Huawei's capability to rapidly build high-quality network in complex environment." He said that Telkomsel is "confident about our next-step cooperation."

Ma Yue, general manager of Huawei Indonesia, said: "Based on our technical leadership and extensive experiences in deploying converged networks around the world, Huawei is committed to offering customized solutions to operators worldwide and helping them achieve the business success."
